Let's make this short and not sweet. X-Files shits all over LOST, up and down, back to front and through and through. The worst X-Files moments are almost without exception vastly better than the worst LOST moments.
Also the mythology of LOST was the whole fucking attraction of that show. When by the end of SEASON FUCKING ONE it was obvious to the non-braindead that LOST was making shit up, it lost all competitiveness with X-Files. X-Files has great moments right to its bitter end. And when you watch each series in its entirety, X-Files runs together extremely well. LOST on the other hand stinks to high heaven and is nothing more than freewheeling shit.
If you only buy one box set- get the complete X-Files. There's shit in that box you'll watch for the rest of your life. Truly.
